Kevin-Barry Henry
I’ve worked in Financial Services since 1997, helping Canadian families protect what they’ve built and pass it on with clarity and confidence.
Today, I specialize in helping families, especially cottage owners, organize their affairs so that assets become a legacy, not a liability.
My Story
Most people call me KB.
I grew up in a bilingual household with a twist: my Mom was Franco-Ontarian and my Dad Anglo-Quebecois. Family was everything. Like many Canadian families, ours had a homestead filled with memories.
In 1993, my mother passed away prematurely and without a will.
That experience changed everything.
Years later, in 2013, my sisters and I helped my father move out of the family home after 45 years. We navigated grief, paperwork, tax questions, and difficult decisions all at once.
You learn a lot going through that.
You learn that good people can leave behind complicated situations.
You learn that love alone is not a plan.
You learn that structure matters.
That’s why I built my company to focus on families like mine — and like yours.
Families who want to:
Protect a cottage for the next generation
Reduce unnecessary tax erosion
Prevent conflict between siblings
Create clarity before a health event forces decisions
I don’t just manage money. I help families organize, structure, and future-proof what matters most.
Professional Background
Before building my advisory practice, I was a professional stock trader on the NASDAQ. My first live trading day was September 10, 2001.
The next morning, the markets — and the world — changed.
That experience taught me two things:
Life can change overnight.
Risk must be understood and managed, not ignored.
For more than two decades since, I’ve helped Canadian families structure insurance, investment, and estate strategies designed to reduce uncertainty and protect legacy assets.
With Gratitude,
